A website is often the first impression a customer in Islamabad or Rawalpindi has of your business. Many local sites look fine but load slowly, do not work well on mobile, and make it hard to get in touch. Use this checklist before you build or redesign.
1. Built for mobile first
Most of your visitors will arrive on a phone, often on mobile data. Check that text is readable without zooming, buttons are easy to tap, and menus are simple. Test your pages on an actual budget Android phone, not just a desktop browser.
2. Fast loading
- Aim for pages that load in under 3 seconds on mobile.
- Compress images and use modern formats such as WebP.
- Choose reliable hosting with a data centre close to your users.
- Avoid heavy sliders, autoplay videos and unnecessary plugins.
3. Clear message above the fold
Within five seconds a visitor should know what you do, where you do it and how to contact you. A headline such as “Interior Design Studio in Islamabad” beats a vague slogan every time.
4. Easy ways to contact you
- Click-to-call phone number in the header.
- WhatsApp button visible on every page.
- A short contact form that asks only for what you need.
- Your address with an embedded Google Map.
5. SEO foundations from day one
- A separate page for each main service and each key location.
- Unique page titles and meta descriptions that include your service and city.
- One clear H1 heading per page and logical subheadings.
- Schema markup for your business, services and FAQs.
- An XML sitemap submitted to Google Search Console.
6. Trust signals
Show real photos of your team and work, client logos (with permission), genuine reviews, certifications and a clear About page. Pakistani customers in particular want to know there is a real, reachable business behind the website.
7. Tracking and analytics
Install Google Analytics 4 and Search Console, and track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions. Without this data you will not know which pages or campaigns bring customers.
8. Security and maintenance
- SSL certificate (https) on every page.
- Regular updates of WordPress, themes and plugins.
- Automatic daily or weekly backups.
- A plan for who updates content after launch.
