Almost every business in Pakistan has a Facebook page. Far fewer get regular customers from it. The difference is rarely luck. It comes down to choosing the right platforms, posting content people actually want, and turning attention into WhatsApp conversations and sales.
1. Choose platforms based on your customers
- Facebook: still the widest reach across age groups in Pakistan, strong for services, real estate, education and local offers.
- Instagram: best for visual businesses such as fashion, food, salons, interiors and lifestyle brands.
- TikTok: huge organic reach with younger audiences; ideal for restaurants, retail and personal brands willing to show behind-the-scenes content.
- LinkedIn: for B2B services, consultants, software houses and recruitment.
Most small businesses do better focusing on two platforms well than on five platforms badly.
2. Post content that helps people decide
A feed full of “Happy Friday” posters will not sell. Mix these content types each week:
- Proof: before-and-after results, customer videos, delivery and installation photos.
- Education: short tips that answer common questions, such as “How to choose the right AC size for your room”.
- Offers: clear, time-bound offers with prices or starting prices.
- People: your team, your shop, your process. People buy from people they trust.
Short vertical videos (Reels and TikToks of 15 to 45 seconds) currently get the most reach on every major platform.
3. Make WhatsApp the destination
In Pakistan, most purchase conversations happen on WhatsApp. Add a WhatsApp button to your page, use click-to-WhatsApp ads, and set up quick replies and a catalogue in WhatsApp Business so you can respond fast. A reply within five minutes converts far better than one after five hours.
4. Use paid ads to reach the right people
Organic reach alone is limited. Even a modest monthly budget on Meta ads, targeted by location (for example a 10 km radius around Satellite Town or Blue Area), age and interests, can bring steady enquiries. Start with one clear offer, test two or three creatives, and keep the winners running.
5. Measure what matters
Likes and followers are nice, but track these instead:
- Number of WhatsApp chats, calls and form leads per week.
- Cost per lead from ads.
- How many leads turn into paying customers.
- Which posts and ads brought those customers.
A simple weekly routine
- Monday: plan the week’s 3 to 5 posts and one Reel.
- Midweek: reply to every comment and message within the day.
- Friday: check ad results and pause weak ads.
- Monthly: review leads and sales, then adjust content and budget.
